Do you offer pick-up and drop-off?
Yes, we do. There is no extra charge for pickup or dropoff in Isafjordur and the Reykjavik area. For any other locations, please send us an email with your questions.
What are your meeting points?
We can meet you at any address within the town of Isafjorður. We can also meet you at the Isafjorður airport or at the pier.
In Reykjavik, we meet you at designated bus stops close to your accommodation, or at your address/hotel if possible.
Are your tours suitable for cruise ship passengers?
Yes, our tours are perfectly suited for cruise ship passengers. We will pick you up at the pier and drop you off there again. Just tell us the name of your ship, and we will be there waiting for you.
Are your tours suitable for people on wheelchairs or have any other walking disabilities?
No, unfortunately, they are not. Our trucks are modified with big tires. You need to be able to climb a few steep steps to get in.
Is there an age limit for your tours?
No, but please let us know if you are traveling with children. Please send us an email stating the age of your group members. We can provide seats for children if necessary.
What do I need to bring for the tour?
It depends on the tour and the time of the year, but for our day tours, you need to dress according to the weather.
For outside activites we recommend warm inner layers, warm jacket and pants, appropriate boots or hiking boots, headwear, scarf and gloves. You'd need sunglasses for some occations even in the winter if the sun is up low in the sky.
Most of our tours include moderate hiking, so you need to wear hiking boots for those occations.
In case of rain or snow, wear shoes that have a sturdy sole with patterns underneath so they won't get slippery.
We also recommend crampons when there's frost and ice on the ground.
You are welcome to bring your own picnic lunch, or you can buy it along the way if you prefer.
